Priscila M V Lima occupies the Antonia Jones, Sueli Mendes and Doris Aragon chair in Artificial Intelligence of Colégio Brasileiro de Altos Estudos da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Her interests range from the integration of optimization and artificial intelligence (AI) to the demystification of AI, including human-centered AI, neuro-symbolic reasoning, weightless neural networks and quantum adiabatic computing. B.Sc. in Computing at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ, 1981), M.Sc. in Systems Engineering and Computing at the Graduate Program of Systems Engineering and Computing (PESC) at COPPE/UFRJ (1987) and Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence at the Department of Computing of Imperial College London (2000). Faculty member of the PESC/COPPE/UFRJ and of the Tércio Pacitti Institute of UFRJ. Creator and head of the Graduate Program on Mathematical and Computational Modelling (PPGMMC) at Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) during 2012-2013. Head of the Graduate Program of Informatics (PPGI) at UFRJ during 2015-2016.
