Patrick Viveret is a philosopher and magistrate at the Court of Auditors. Professor of philosophy of the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris, he was appointed referendum advisor to the Court of Auditors in 1990. Editor-in-chief of the journal Transversales Science Culture between 1992 and 1996, Patrick Viveret was director of the Center international Pierre Mendès France (CIPMF) and chairs the observatory of public decision-making. In 2001, he participated in the first World Social Forum, in Porto Alegre (Brazil). He is also one of the founders of the SOL Project, a complementary currency system, and co-founder of the international initiative “Dialogues in Humanity”.
