Civil engineer from UFC and Ph.D. in Economics from Pennsylvania State University (USA). Titular Professor of Econometrics in the Post-Graduate Program in Economics (CAEN / UFC), CNPq researcher, coordinator of LECO - Laboratory of Econometrics and Optimization and member of the Curator Council of Fundação Cearense de Pesquisa e Cultura. He coordinated CAEN / UFC - Post-Graduation in Economics. It mainly works on the following themes: microeconometry, spatial econometrics, the labor market, university choice & student allocation systems (SISU), public safety and evidence-based urban violence, domestic and gender violence, and water demand modeling . He was a visiting professor / researcher at the Free University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) and at the University of Toulouse (France) and consultant for several national and international institutions and bodies. In the last four years, it has raised more than R$ 5 million for research in the area of domestic and family violence against women and modeling of criminal behavior in national and international institutions. During the period from 2009 to 2013, he developed and coordinated the Criminal Analysis and Statistics Sector of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense of Ceará (SSPDS / CE), acting as Chief Analyst of Criminal Analysis and Statistics.
