Fernando Bozza has a degree in Medicine from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ (1987), a Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Pharmacology and Experimental Therapy) from UFRJ (1994) and a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Oswaldo Cruz Foundation - FIOCRUZ (2004). Post-Doctorate at the University of Utah (2008). He is currently a Full Researcher at FIOCRUZ and Head of the Laboratory of Clinical Research in Intensive Care Medicine at the Instituto Nacional de Infectologia Evandro Chagas -INI/FIOCRUZ. He also serves as coordinator of research in Intensive Care Medicine at the Instituto D'Or de Pesquisa em Ensino (IDOR) and coordinator of the Laboratory of Inflammation and Metabolism (Lab20) of the INCT of Structural Biology and Bioimaging (INBEB). Member of the Executive Committee Brazilian Network for Research in Intensive Care Medicine (BRICNet) and the International Severe Acute Respiratory and Emerging Infection Consortium (ISARIC). Founder of Hygeia Biotecnologia. His main lines of research include Sepsis, Arboviroses, Antimicrobial Resistance and Acute Brain Dysfunction.
