Carolina Araújo is Professor at the Philosophy Department of Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and Researcher at the Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa (CNPq). She works mainly on Ancient Philosophy, with focus on Plato, Platonic Tradition, Political Philosophy, Moral Psychology and Metaphysics. She is author of “Da Arte: uma leitura do Górgias de Platão” (2008), editor of “Verdade e espetáculo: Platão e a questão do ser” (2014). She has also published a variety of articles and book chapters in international vehicles. Lately she also has been working on issues related to Women in Philosophy. She is currently administrator of the Brazilian Network for Women in Philosophy, editor of the Unicamp Scientific Blog for Women in Philosophy and President of the Latin American Society of Ancient Philosophy.
