Ana Laura Cantera
Ana Laura Cantera is an artist and researcher from Argentina who has a Master´s degree in Electronic Arts at UNTREF (National University of Tres de Febrero), a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a degree as Art Teacher at UNA (National University of Arts). She researches connections between natures and territories through electronic interfaces and non-human beings in artistic and robotic projects. She is co- foundress of Mycocrea –Biomaterials and mycelium Lab, where she studies and works with arts, decolonized science and ancestral materialities. In the last years, she won the Itaú 1st Prize in Robotic Arts (Bs. As), the Global Community Bio Fellowship at MIT MediaLab, and the ELAP Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program Fellowship at Concordia University, Canada. In Brazil, she got the CAPES PRINT scholarship, to develop and research about the intersections between biomaterials and robotic in artworks at NANO (Núcleo de Arte e Novos Organismos), UFRJ.
